Fronted by Laena Geronimo alongside singer-songwriter Shannon Lay, California garage band FEELS shred guitar-driven pop. Their 2016 self-titled debut was produced by Ty Segall and released on Oh Sees frontman John Dwyer’s indie imprint Castle Face. Today, the LA four-piece is announcing their follow-up Post Earth, out early next year via Wichita, and sharing lead single “Car.”
The track has a rebellious attitude. It’s hard and blunt and playful, and Geronimo’s opening line — “My friends come with me to Candyland” — invites adventure. The accompanying video shot by Gina Clyne compiles flashes of life on the road: gas stations, diner breakfasts, Goodwill shopping, shows, plants, and jumping on mini trampolines inside. Everything else is the world and the weather through the window of a car.
The band explains:
“Car” is a tongue-in-cheek guided tour around a twisted political landscape where everything’s a lie and ignorance is bliss. For the video, we chose to use collaged footage that one of our best friends captured while on tour with us, being very real and very aware of every mile crossed, and loving it. Escape from madness, Band on the Run style.

Après avoir formé la section rythmique d’un des groupes rock les plus influents, toutes générations confondues, Joe Lally et Brendan Canty se retrouvent enfin au sein de The Messthetics. Poussés par l’enthousiasme d’Anthony Pirog, guitariste méconnu et adepte d’une musique instrumentale complexe, les deux ont immédiatement retrouvés les automatismes qu’ils ont entretenu pendant quinze ans chez Fugazi pour rendre le registre du trio plus accessible. L’osmose de ce trio pas comme les autres donne à entendre une passionnante excroissance de l’héritage musicale de Washington D.C.. On donnerait cher pour les voir sur scène.

Death Valley Girls album « Darkness Rains » is out on Suicide Squeeze Records !
After an already cult video starring Iggy Pop for « Disaster (Is What We’re After) », the band has released another great one for « More Dead ».
The latest is « (One Less Thing) Before I Die
According to Stereo Embers Magazine, Darkness Rains is « a definite contender for album of the year, this is a perfect balance of 60’s garage rock and punk. It’s a reminder that rock and roll is not dead, even though some people keep trying to push it underground for the formulaic slop that sheeple are buying these days ».

King Khan Louder Than Death is a punk rock dream team : King Khan on the mic, Looch Vibrato and Aggy Sonora (Magnetix) on guitar and drums, and the amazing Fredovitch (Shrines) on bass.
Their first EP is out on In The Red Records and they will hit the road this fall to play in some great festivals !
Get a chance to see them in Spain during the Primavera Club in Barcelona and Madrid on October 26 and 27 or at the Barreiro Rocks festival in Portugal on November 2. They will also play during the Super Bock Under Sessions in Lausanne on November 24.

Mudhoney sera en concert le 27 septembre au Trabendo à Paris, pour une date unique en France !
Entre 1988 et l’explosion du phénomène Nirvana, Mudhoney est le groupe phare de la scène alternative. Leurs premières productions sur le label Sub Pop qui obtiennent un certain succès, contribuent à la définition du « son de Seattle » et du grunge. Ils signent alors sur la major Reprise Records et ont la douce folie de croire qu’ils peuvent jouer exactement la même musique que sur Sub Pop. Activistes forcenés, farouches défenseurs d’une certaine idée du rock n’ roll, le groupe est probablement trop radical pour le succès de masse. Mudhoney mélange des sonorités garage rock, blues, punk, hardcore…. et ne revendique pas une quelconque appartenance au mouvement grunge de l’époque. Les concerts du groupe sont réputés aux quatre coins de la planète !
La 1ère partie sera assurée par Please The Trees, un groupe de rock psychédélique de République tchèque. Actif depuis maintenant dix ans ils ont beaucoup tourné avec Mudhoney en Europe de l’Est.
